HEIDELBERG HISTORICAL SOCIETY RECEIVES LOCAL HISTORY GRANT

Heidelberg Historical Society’s work to preserve our community history for generations to come has been recognised as part of the 2018 Local History Grants Program.

Member for Ivanhoe Anthony Carbines MP congratulated Heidelberg Historical Society on receiving $5,346 for their specialist work in conservation of framed paintings and historic photographs.

People can now get the skills they need with the biggest change to TAFE and skills training in Victoria’s history.
Member for Ivanhoe Anthony Carbines welcomed the announcement in the State Budget that, from 2019, TAFE courses in priority areas will be free for students across Victoria.

Member for Ivanhoe, Anthony Carbines today announced Banyule Primary School will get a $3.47 million funding boost in the Victorian Budget 2018/19 for the development of a new gymnasium, canteen, outdoor learning and site infrastructure upgrades.

VIEWBANK TENNIS CLUB TO SHARE IN RECORD SPORT INVESTMENT

Viewbank Tennis Club will share in the biggest investment in women's and community sport in Victoria's history thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

The club will receive $100,000 to upgrade courts 7 & 8 and install LED lighting on the refurbished courts. The works will allow tennis players to play at night in modern facilities.

IVANHOE PRIMARY SCHOOL FUNDING

Member for Ivanhoe, Anthony Carbines today announced Ivanhoe Primary School will receive $4.5 million in the 2018/19 State Budget to upgrade and modernise facilities.
The funds will progress the delivery of the school's masterplan, including replacing four relocatable buildings with fit-for-purpose new permanent buildings addressing under-entitlement in permanent spaces.
Works will also include a complete reconfiguration of the main classroom and administration building.
This funding is in addition to the $2 million provided in the 2016/17 State Budget
