Macleod families will get the world-class local school their kids deserve, with a massive upgrade to Macleod College.
The State Government will invest $4.9 million to upgrade Block A, which houses the science and counselling rooms. These tired old classrooms and facilities will be transformed to give students and staff the state of the art facilities they need to achieve their best.
In addition to this first stage of works, the school will also work with the Victorian School Building Authority to plan for future stages.

Austin Health will share in record funding to give more patients the world-class treatment and care they deserve faster, as part of a massive boost to health care.
Member for Ivanhoe Anthony Carbines today announced the State Government is investing $698.62 million at Austin Health. That’s $60.13 million more than the previous 12 months – a 9.4 per cent increase.

The funding for Austin Health has increased by $141.78 million, or 25.5 per cent, since 2014/15. Austin Health’s budget includes funding for an extra Intensive Care Unit bed.

Member for Ivanhoe, Anthony Carbines has announced a $10,000 grant to Heidelberg Preschool in Orient Place.

The grant will enable paths in the outdoors play area to be resurfaced with springy, rubber surface material. As well as providing a more fall-friendly surface, the grant will help improve the amenity of the outdoor pathways for children and staff.
Heidelberg preschool has recently re-opened at Orient Place, following refurbishment and repairs after a fire in 2017.

Member for Ivanhoe Anthony Carbines today announced the Andrews Labor Government is investing $355.59 million at Mercy Health. That’s $52.61 million more than the previous 12 months – a 17.4 per cent increase

Rising sports stars are encouraged to apply for travel grants to help them take their skills to the next level.

Member for Ivanhoe, Anthony Carbines MP announced applications have opened for the 2018/19 Athlete Pathway Travel Grant Program.

The program helps aspiring Victorian athletes, teams, coaches and officials to realise their sporting potential through grants that remove the barrier of travel and accommodation costs.
