KEEPING LOCAL FAMILIES SAFE AT ROSANNA VILLAGE

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will improve safety at the popular Rosanna Shopping Village, keeping local families safe. Member for Ivanhoe Anthony Carbines has today announced that Labor will invest $200,000 to install new flashing signs to make sure that traffic slows down and observes the speed limit.

Labor has already removed the dangerous and congested Lower Plenty Road level crossing, removing a major bottleneck and improving local traffic flow.

Families in Ivanhoe will be able to rely on great local sporting facilities, with a re-elected Andrews Labor Government to deliver $1.5 million towards Olympic Park.

The funding will go towards the Olympic Park Masterplan, which includes new sports fields and lighting, upgraded playgrounds, shared paths and fitness circuits, improved lighting around the park and CCTV for community safety and improved accessibility and parking.

The commitment builds on the Andrews Labor Government's $2 million investment in Olympic Park

The upgraded Olympic Park will be used by local sporting clubs, with Heidelberg United and the local community set to benefit.

A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR FORD PARK

Families in Ivanhoe and Bellfield will be able to rely on great local sporting facilities, with a re-elected Andrews Labor Government to deliver $2 million towards Ford Park.

Rapid growth at Ford Park's sporting clubs is putting immense pressure on the facilities.

This funding will go towards upgrading the playing surface, lighting, building new change rooms for players and umpires, pavilion, scoreboards and coaches boxes and an upgrade to the cricket facilities.

The upgraded Ford Park will be used by local sporting clubs, with the Ivanhoe Junior Football Club, Bellfield Cricket Club and local families all set to benefit.

SUPPORTING IVANHOE’S NEXT GENERATION OF SCOUTS

More young Victorians will get the chance to develop their leadership skills and give back to their local community with a re-elected Andrews Labor Government to help upgrade the First Ivanhoe Sea Scout Hall.

The whole community will benefit with Scouts Victoria to manage and maintain the hall, which will also be available for local activities and events such as dance classes, community theatre rehearsals, birthday parties and fitness classes.

Labor will provide $100,000 towards building upgrades that will make the hall more accessible to all scouts including a new driveway and new external doors.

Families in our state’s Italian communities will have peace of mind that their elderly loved ones are getting the care they need, under a re-elected Andrews Labor Government.

Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change Lily D’Ambrosio MP today announced that only a re-elected Labor Government will provide $625,000 to Assisi Centre Aged Care towards the re-purposing of Laveter House into a dedicated respite service. This commitment will help ensure older Italian Victorians receive the care and comfort they deserve, while also giving their families peace of mind.
