Anthony was elected as the State Member for Ivanhoe in November 2010. Following
re-election 2014 he was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for the Environment in the Andrews’ Labor Government.
Anthony was born and raised in the Northern suburbs and attended Rosanna East High
School, the now Viewbank College. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Journalism
from RMIT University.
After completing his degree he worked for the Geelong Advertiser as a journalist. He
then went on to be an adviser and then Chief-of-Staff to Ministers in the Bracks and Brumby Governments. Anthony assisted people and organizations across Ministerial portfolios included Housing, Aged Care, Community Services, Community Building, Health and Education.
In 2005 Anthony was elected to Banyule City Council. In this role he gained valuable experience working to improve services and infrastructure. During this time he served as council delegate for the Metro Waste Management Group.
Anthony is married to Anita and they live in Rosanna with their daughter. In his spare time Anthony enjoys going to the footy, running and spending time with his family.
