Speed and red light cameras will be installed at two busy intersections along Rosanna Road in Rosanna to target dangerous drivers and improve safety.
The sites at Banyule Road and Darebin Street were selected following a strong campaign from the local community and the Member for Ivanhoe Anthony Carbines.
Mr Carbines welcomed the decision and said it would help make the area safer for the community, especially for students, teachers and parents at the nearby Banyule Primary School and Heidelberg Primary School. Families using the local Goodstart Childcare Centre will also benefit from safety cameras at the pedestrian lights at Darebin St and Rosanna Rd.
