I am pleased to rise to make a contribution to debate on the City of Melbourne Amendment Bill 2011, and I would like to draw particularly on a couple of the key aspects of this bill.
I am pleased to continue my contribution on the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission Bill 2011, which, as we know, is not introducing an independent body.
Today I speak out in support of parents, students and families at Charles La Trobe College's Macleod West campus, which is on the border of my Ivanhoe electorate.
The matter I raise is for the attention of the Minister for Police and Emergency Services, and it relates to the closure by him and his government of the Heidelberg West police station.
